The brat never stops fighting, oscillating between instant gratification and constant insatiability. The musky scent on them emanates a void-like hunger. Their mouth muscles stuck in a pout shape. The air feels frantic like a tornado on the verge of sweeping house. Anticipatory in nature, there is no room for reality here as the tussle happens subconsciously, failing to hold the shared responsibility of a dynamic.

Many years of doing nothing and expecting everything left the brat feeling full and empty at the same time. They got what they wanted but at an exorbitant cost and in this economy, brathood started to feel like a credit card they couldn’t pay off. Abusing their desire to be tamed became a relational hazard. After a day of brat behavior, exhausting themselves and their lover, something changes—a blip in the timeline so to speak.
